Atlas Resistance steel pier system for lifting a settled foundation in Oklahoma

Atlas Resistance® Piers

Steel Resistance Piers in Oklahoma

Driven deep using your home's own weight, then used to lift and stabilize your foundation with measured support strength.

How resistance piers work

We dig a small access hole at each pier location and attach a heavy steel bracket to the footing. Then, using a hydraulic ram, we press sections of steel pier straight down into the ground — using the weight of the structure itself as the counterforce.

The pier keeps going until it hits load-bearing strata and won't go any further. That point is called refusal, and it tells us the pier is sitting on something solid. Because we record the hydraulic pressure at each pier, we know the support strength we're working with before we ever lift.

With all piers in place, we use the hydraulics to carefully raise the foundation toward its original position, then lock it off so the weight stays on steel instead of shifting clay.

Only authorized contractors can install them

Atlas Resistance® Piers can only be sold and installed by contractors that Atlas has trained and authorized. Atlas Foundation Systems is one of those contractors here in Oklahoma, and we take that responsibility seriously.
